Golf del Sur Golf Course

Opened in 1987 and developed by Pepe Gancedo Golf del Sur offers a 27 hole course which brings together lush tropical vegetation with black volcanic sand bunkers. The course is a par 72 and offers a unique challenge for golfers of all abilities.

The course has hosted the Tenerife Open (part of the PGA European Tour) 4 times the first in 1989, then again in 1992, 1993 and 1994. International competitions returned to Golf del Sur in 2002 with the Ladies PGA European tour. Most recently Australian newcomer Nikki Garrett won the 2007 LPGA European title at Golf del Sur.

Golf del Sur Facilities

There’s more to Golf del Sur than golf… in fact there is so much to do and see.

There’s the San Blas Shopping Centre with its numerous shops, bars and restaurants. Or the Winter Garden’s bowling complex. There are also several Tennis Courts and several gymnasiums so keeping active won’t be a problem.

Finally one cannot forget the nightlife, Golf del Sur boasts so many excellent bars and restaurants that you could eat out somewhere new every night for a month, though I’m sure like us you’ll soon find your personal favourites.
