Amarilla Golf

Amarilla Golf is the lesser known cousin of Golf del Sur, located immediately adjacent to its relative with fairways almost touching, Amarilla Golf is the quieter of the two resorts. Yet it still has a lot to offer the golfer and the prospective property investor.

The Golf Course

The Amarilla Golf Course was designed by Donald Steel and opened in 1989 it hosted the 1990 Tenerife Open, part of the European PGA Tour. The par 72 course takes advantage of the natural landscape and uses the Atlantic Ocean as a water hazard on several holes.

Facilities include a Pro-shop, driving range, clubhouse, restaurant, bar, swimming pool area, and tennis court. An additional 9-hole par 3 course was opened alongside the main 18-hole course in 1999.

Property in Amarilla Golf

Being less developed than Golf del Sur, property prices on Amarilla Golf tend to be comparatively lower, meaning there are real bargains to be had if you are prepared to look. Amarilla Golf also offers an extremely tranquil setting and is ideal for someone who really wants to “get away from it all” but still have civilisation on their doorstep.

Like Golf del Sur, there is a wide range of properties available on Amarilla Golf from, apartments to luxury villas. Public Transport is limited so a car is recommended.
